Tell us about your role at Alfa Laval?

I am the product manager for semi-welded heat exchangers in BU GPHE, which means that I am responsible for these products throughout their entire lifecycle. Right now, I am working on the product plan to start the development work for what products will come over the next decade. Our main focus is on the new energy landscape, decarbonization, and energy efficiency when we are looking into our future portfolio. I am very proud to be part of such positive action for the planet.

What is your educational background?

I studied product development and mechanical engineering in Malmö, Lund, and Valencia.

What is it like to work at Alfa Laval?

We have a very positive and healthy company culture at Alfa Laval, which makes it a great company to work for. From my experience, people generally work here for long periods of time, so you can make some very strong connections with colleagues. I have also noticed that the people who leave often find their way back to us. Even though I have been here for 8 years, my network is constantly growing.

What does your team look like?

I am in a talented team of both new and experienced colleagues, which is a great mix for both fun and productivity. Most of the time we work independently, but we always try to make sure that everyone is aligned within the product management team. We never underestimate the importance of “Corridor chat” 😊.

What is the biggest challenge in product management?

I would say that our biggest challenge is to be able to please and realize all wishes and demands for all instances.

How do you solve problems in your line of work?

Well, solving a problem in one case can often generate a different problem for another. My role is to coordinate and make sure that we find a joint solution that can work cross-functionally.

Why did you choose to join Alfa Laval?

Before I worked here, I was working at an offshore business in Norway. Alfa Laval has always been on my company watch list. So, when I decided to move home to Sweden I knew that I wanted to find something here. Knowing that sustainability and green tech are the key focus areas, it was an easy choice.
